About the church
Sankta Helena kyrka, also known as Skövde kyrka, is a church building belonging to Skövde parish in the Diocese of Skara. It is located in the central locality of Skövde Municipality.
After the Reformation and until the latter part of the 20th century it came to be called Skövde kyrka. It is dedicated to Saint Helena, Sweden's first female patron saint, from Västergötland, who was canonised in 1164.
