About the church
Sankt Peters klosters kyrka is a church located just west of the railway in Lund. It is the parish church of Sankt Peters kloster parish in the Diocese of Lund. The present church dates from the 14th century and is built of red brick in the Gothic style. Sankt Peters klosters kyrka was built as the convent church of the nunnery Sankta Marias och Sankt Peters kloster. Together with the cathedral, this convent church is the only one remaining of the churches that existed in medieval Lund. The other churches and monasteries were demolished in connection with the Reformation in Denmark in 1536.
