Ryda kyrka

According to tradition, the older part of the church was built by the Västergötland lawman Algot Gripson around 1270. What distinguishes Ryda churchyard is that an unusually large number of women have had stones erected in their memory, some without holding any particular title or without perhaps having been able to pay for their own grave themselves.
