Rönnängs kyrka

In 1794 Rönnäng, according to a royal letter, was granted the right to build a church. At that time the place where the church stands was a meeting point and marketplace known as “Rönnängs torg”. Many older people also called the church “torgs kyrka”, the market church. The white-painted wooden church was built in 1795 and rests on a bed of seashells. It stands among bare rocks on the southernmost point of Tjörn, Tjörnehuvud.
