With its rectangular nave, steep slate roof and church tower in the west with a tall spire, the church occupies a prominent position on the church headland that juts out into Nysockensjön. In summer, worshippers still come to the church in the old church boat from 1883.

Ny kyrka is the parish church of Arvika-Ny parish in western Värmland. The church is situated on the shore of Nysockensjön, just north of Ottebol and just over 10 kilometres north-west of Arvika.
