Nässja kyrka

Nässja kyrka is one of the churches in the medieval heartland of western Östergötland that were probably built on the initiative of the magnate families of the area. The church is beautifully situated in an open farming landscape on a long promontory in Lake Vättern, which forms the western shore of Vadstenaviken bay.

About the church
Nässja kyrka is a church building in the historical parish of Nässja and Dals parish, Östergötland. It lies near Lake Vättern, 7.5 kilometres west of Vadstena, and belongs to the Diocese of Linköping. Nässja was probably made an annex of Örberga by the 13th century at the latest.
