About the church
Lötenkyrkan is a cooperation church between EFS and Gamla Uppsala parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. The church is located at Heidenstams torg in Uppsala. The congregation was first formed in 1956, then as Uppsala Missionsförening. The church building was founded in 1970 on the initiative of EFS, when EFS's theological training, Johannelunds teologiska högskola, moved to the site. The EFS mission society in Lötenkyrkan has nearly 400 members and extensive work with children and young people.
Just north-east of the church building stands a free-standing bell tower built of concrete in an open construction. The bell tower was added in 1991. The church bell weighs 888 kg and rings in g1.
The current pastors of Lötenkyrkan are Christoffer Abrahamsson and Heiner Helm.
