About the church
Los kyrka is a church building in Los. It is the parish church of Los-Hamra parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. During the second half of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, mining activity intensified in the area around Los. In 1750 the first churchyard in the historical parish of Los was laid out, about 200 metres west of the present church site. Before the church was completed, regular devotions were held every Sunday at the manor house of the Commercial Counsellor Henric Kalmeter.
