Levene kyrka

A Romanesque stone church with two towers and a shingle roof, most likely dated to the 13th century. According to tradition built by Håkan Röde, buried in Levene, mentioned in the Västgötalagen list of kings (reigned 1070–1079). The Swedish royal house's "Haga sisters" have been confirmed here. Sweden's tallest runestone, "Levenestenen", stands by the church. Nearby lies Sparlösa with the Sparlösastenen (Sparlösa Stone).
