About the church
Kristdala kyrka is a church building in Döderhult parish in the Diocese of Växjö (from 1 January 2010, previously belonging to the Diocese of Linköping) and Oskarshamn Municipality. Kristdala can also boast a record number of rural deans who inherited their office from father to son in a direct line. The Meurling family held the office of priest in Kristdala from the 18th century until the last rural dean Meurling retired in 1954, six generations in all.
