About the church
Köinge kyrka is a church building that since 2006 has belonged to Okome parish (formerly Köinge parish) in the Diocese of Gothenburg. It is located in Köinge, about twenty kilometres northeast of the main town of Falkenberg Municipality.
In the churchyard northeast of the present church, almost down by the country road, a church had stood since the 13th century. The small medieval church was, however, demolished in 1896 when the new church building had been taken into use.
