Karlholms kyrka

The ironworks community of Karlholm came into being in the 18th century. The owner, Charles de Geer the Elder, then had a chapel built in 1736–1737 and an ironworks preacher was employed. In 1895 the chapel was moved to its present site.

About the church
Karlholms kyrka is a church building belonging to Västland parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. The church is located in Karlholmsbruk in the northernmost part of Uppland. The ironworks was established in 1727–1728 by Charles De Geer, who also had the church built.
