About the church
Kårböle stavkyrka, also known as Sankt Olofs offerkyrka, is a church building outside Kårböle in the Diocese of Uppsala. It belongs to Färila-Kårböle parish. The church lies by the old pilgrim route to Nidaros and is built in a forest clearing beside the Kårån river. Next to the church is a stone foundation suggesting that a pilgrim church once stood on the site.
