The present church in Karbenning was consecrated on the first Sunday of Advent 1845. It then replaced an old wooden church that was probably built in 1654.

About the church
Karbennings kyrka is a church building belonging to Norberg-Karbenning parish in the Diocese of Västerås. Until 1 January 2010 it was the parish church of Karbenning parish. The church stands in Åsby, about three kilometres south of the railway community of Karbenning.
