About the church
Jumkils kyrka is a church building in the historical parish of Jumkil, belonging to Bälingebygden parish in the Diocese of Uppsala. The church lies at the crest of a steep slope down towards the Jumkilsån. A hundred metres or so to the north runs county road 272, Tidernas väg. About 16 kilometres to the south-east lies central Uppsala. Since the 19th century the churchyard has been surrounded by a dry-stone churchyard wall. In 1932 the churchyard was extended to the north and acquired its present extent. Outside the south side of the churchyard stands a bell tower from 1746.
