About the church
Johanneskyrkan (formerly Johannesgården) is the district church in Hovshaga in Växjö. It belongs to Växjö City and Cathedral Parish. The church was consecrated in 1993 by Bishop Jan Arvid Hellström. The church is built in a modern style and contains a worship space as well as administrative and social areas. Services are usually held on Sunday afternoons, and during the week there are both children's groups and choirs.
