Hedareds stavkyrka

Hedareds stavkyrka is Sweden's only surviving stave church from the Middle Ages. The church was built around 1500, and inside it there are furnishings that are older still, including a processional cross from the 12th century and a carved figure of the Madonna from the 13th–14th century. About the church
Hedareds stavkyrka (Hedared Stave Church) is a church building located in Hedared between Borås and Alingsås. Since 2018 the church has belonged to Sandhult-Bredared parish (formerly Sandhult parish) in the Diocese of Skara.
It is also Sweden's only surviving medieval stave church. It was built in the early 16th century.
