About the church
Hammarby kyrka belongs to Hammarby parish and is built on a slope down towards the southern shore of Lake Fysingen. Just west of the church the E4 motorway passes. Where the present church stands there was probably a wooden church earlier.
Most of the parish's services are now held in Vilunda kyrka, which is located in Upplands Väsby Centrum. Hammarby kyrka is mostly used for baptisms, weddings and funerals.
