About the church
Gunnarskogs kyrka is located in Arvika Municipality and belongs to Gunnarskog parish.
The present church is built of stone and was erected in the years 1726 - 1727. In 1783 - 1784 the church was extended with transepts to the north and south. The church tower was added in 1854 - 1857.
The pulpit on the north side of the church dates from 1738 and the altarpiece from 1739. Both were made by Isac Schullström.
