Grimetons kyrka

Grimetons kyrka was built in several stages and has medieval origins. The transepts and the chancel were added in the 19th century and the tower was completed in 1919. The interior of the church was renovated in 1995. In the church one can see, among other things, three-armed candlesticks along the rows of pews and a red chasuble from the 18th century. Welcome!

About the church
Grimetons kyrka (pronounced 'gri'mmetånn) is a church building that since 2002 has belonged to Himledalen parish (formerly Grimeton parish) in the Diocese of Gothenburg. It lies on the northern outskirts of Grimeton in Varberg Municipality, south-west of the manor of Torstorp, whose owners held the right of patronage until the early 20th century.
