Götene kyrka

Götene kyrka, counted among the oldest churches in Sweden, has been allowed to keep its original form on the outside. A log in the roof structure above the chancel has been dated by the C-14 method to the year 1125. The altar has a unique relic cavity said to contain the finger of Saint Helena.
