About the church
Fryksände kyrka is a church building in Torsby in Värmland County. It is the parish church of Fryksände parish in the Diocese of Karlstad. The present church is the fourth known on the site. The first medieval church is said to have stood next to the mouth of the Röjdan on the northern shore of Fryken. The second church building appears on a map from 1645, where it stood on a hill south of the present church. The third church was consecrated in 1745 but was demolished in 1899 after the new church had been taken into use.
