About the church
Färila kyrka is a church building in Färila in the Diocese of Uppsala. It is the parish church of Färila-Kårböle parish. A short distance from the church lies the old stallstad (a village of churchgoers' stables), the best preserved in the province. The church was built in 1781 - 1783 and replaced an older medieval church, probably built in the 15th century. The parish is known from the 14th century, which makes it likely that an even older church stood here.
