About the church
Färentuna kyrka is a church building belonging to Färingsö parish in the Diocese of Stockholm. The church is a so-called east-tower church (with its tower at the east end). In the Middle Ages Färentuna kyrka held a leading position among the churches on Färingsö in Lake Mälaren near Stockholm. Over the course of the centuries a number of alterations and extensions have taken place.
