Dalby kyrka

On the westernmost spur of the Romeleåsen ridge stands Dalby kyrka, the oldest stone church in the Nordic countries. It was built here as a cathedral, a bishop's church, in connection with a new division into dioceses in Denmark in 1059–1060.

About the church
Dalby kyrka, or Heliga kors kyrka, is a church building in Dalby, south-east of Lund. It belongs to Dalby parish in the Diocese of Lund. Construction of the church began around the year 1060. The church has been rebuilt several times and was originally about twice as large as it is today. The central aisle and the side aisle of today's nave have been preserved from the original building.
