About the church
Bjursås kyrka (Gustaf Adolfs kyrka) is a church building in Bjursås. It is the parish church of Bjursås parish in the Diocese of Västerås.
The church was built in 1791–1803, and the dominant style is neoclassicism. The architect was C F Adelcrantz. It is a single-nave hall church with a tower placed to the side, in the north. The structure is built of masonry natural stone. The facade is rendered. The church is large, 54 metres long and 18 metres wide, as room was to be provided for all the inhabitants of the civil parish. The tower is 34 metres high.
