Barsebäcks kyrka dates from the early Middle Ages and stands in the middle of the village. It is believed to be dedicated to Saint Thomas, one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. Until 1922 the church was linked to the owner of the Barsebäck estate, the Hamilton family.
