Algutsboda kyrka

Sometime during the Middle Ages the first church of Algutsboda was built. Everything suggests that it stood on this very spot. Here, in the middle of the parish, paths, later roads, met from different directions. And its position on a hill further emphasised the central importance of the church.

About the church
Algutsboda kyrka is a church building in Algutsboda in the Diocese of Växjö. It is the parish church of Algutsboda parish in the Diocese of Växjö.
The noble Jegerschöld family has two graves in the churchyard. In one rests the major in the Kalmar Regiment and the Uppvidinge Company, the knight Emanuel Jegerschöld (1795–1871), and in the other his wife Rosalie, née Cronhammar, together with some of their children.
